Welcome to Live Dialogue !!!

So much bad said, but is there good in trucking?
Question:
Lets see there seems to be so much said about the bad side of truck driving, I am hard pressed to find anything on the positive side. So I thought I would add some of the positives my self. perhaps there are others out there that can add on.
Sun rises across this country....beautiful.
sun sets across this country....beautiful.
small towns on a quiet summer morning.
fresh fruit from a road side fruit stand....unbeatable.
the canyons and hills, the desert, and rolling plains. there is beauty in every state.
The stars in the sky from wyoming or montana, unbelievable. the fewer city lites, the more you can see the heavens.
The solitude of an early morning, just you the truck and your maker.....a 2 am thing. For me.
lunch when I want to take it, not when the whistle blows.
deer and other critters, in the early morning mist. awsome, just dont hit them then, its a really bad day.....nuff said.
no forman looking over my shoulder, no corperate ladder to climb, no bmw suv, to worry about, if the status symbel car is what you want cool, but it never meant much to me.
no oh god Im going to be late for work with this traffic.....guess I should leave earlier....but how many people really do that?
Driving gets me out of the rat race and in to a completely different zone.
you bet its not all fun, snow sleet, ice, and traffic, dock personel that treat you like scum...stress, running hard for that paycheck....sitting 6 hours while being unloaded, and losing a great run because you can not make the pick up time, seen it happen to lots of drives, and Ive been there once or twice.
But there are so many things to be said that really are good, you have to take the good with the bad. And not every one is cut out for this type of work. --> big surprise huh? I personaly deal with custemores once or twice every two days. the rest of the time is pretty much my own.
There are times I get to the point of wanting to quit. you bet, but dont we all in any job? It gets bad around the time to get home, but after a few days at the house I am ready to go again. I guess what I am attempting to say is this.
No its not all fun and games, but if this is what you are cut out to do, then it can be a wonderful job and adventure, many people have no clue what they want until they get here and see that its not all T.V show glory. AndI understand that the majority of you are attempting to help a newbie out, by giving them the facts. maybe keep them from making a big mistake. I understand that, and and quick to do the same thing. But there are so many things that are great about this job, in my book it seems to balance out.
I just thought I would try to verbalize some things I really like about the job, that make it good.
not wanting to start a fight here.
I could add so much more, but I need to get ready to head out. And yes dear folks I am still a swifty........Some things never change --> Its been over two years now since I went back to swift. Guess they do have some good qualities after all!
Take care all.... be safe, and remember life is good and in the right frame of mind even better.

Then reality sets in and it becomes a job.
Sorry but it's the best reply I could make to a "sunshine" post. -->

Answer:
A proper attitude can make the worst situation in the world tolerable.
A poor attitude can make the greatest situation miserable.
Only two things I know of are infinite. The universe and human stupidity, and I am not real sure about the universe.
