Home time with Roehl
Question:
For anybody that works or worked for Roehl. What is the average time that you are OTR and at home? Is a day at home "a day at home" or is it 24 hours. Also is it different if you are running flat beds compared to vans? Thanks Answer: It's kind of up to you on hometime. Check it out http://www.roehl.net/recruit.htm I usually left the house on Monday or Tuesday and stayed out 10 days or so, that way I could get home for the weekends, as my wife works 8-5 M/F. That way I could spend more time with her, rather then just be "at the house!" They only failed me a couple times (waiting for freight) but they always made it up on the other end. Just keep the lines of communications open with your fleet manager. Keep in mind you have to be flexible, don't promise to be home at 4:00pm on Friday so you can be somewhere at 6:30pm, leave yourself some time! I enjoyed Roehl, nice people, drivers, management, and equipment! Drive on! bandit58 Answer: I was just on the phone with Rhoel and asked about the home time. The website says 7 days out 2 days home. The lady on the phone said the home time is anywhere from 24 to 36 hours. So its more like home for 2 seperate days not 2 full days. Hope this helps. Answer: In the real world at Roehl, you are home 2 days (48 hrs) if your out 7 - 9 days. 3 days (72 hrs) if out 10+ days. I've come home Thursday night and come out Monday morning in most cases when I'm out 10 plus days. What is the point to come out Sunday night and sit in the truck waiting for a dispatch. This is something I worked out with my DM as time went on and he saw how hard I did run in those 10 - 11 days. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
