Frequent Fueler Cards(list)
Question:
http://www.natsn.com/ http://www.am-best.com/ambucks/ http://www.petrotruckstops.com/petro_passport.asp http://www.tatravelcenters.com/ta/display_page.phtml?page_id=435 http://www.flyingj.com/programs/frequent.cfm http://www.loves.com/Rewards_Programs.html http://www.sinclairoil.com/truck_stops.htm http://www.sappbrostruckstops.com/ The PILOT fuel stop chains have their own variation of a "point System", but I think those points are only good for a wk or so.(it's been awhile since I've fueled at a Pilot.) There are many others...those were just a few that I could remember off the top of my head.(I'm sure someone will come along & fill in the gaps & ADD more to the List.) [This message was edited by choclit snda on September 10, 2003 at 1:17.] Answer: Didn't NATSN kinda "price their way out of the running" by raising their transaction fees to an unacceptable rate? Seeme like every truckstop that I've been in, in the last year, doesn't accept any NATSN cards. ie; TransPlatinum. ******************************* "I've always been crazy, but it's kept me from going insane!" (from Waylon Jennings) "The feel of the wheel delivers me, from a life where I don't wanna be." (from Joe Stampley) Answer: You may be correct... it's been about a 1yr since I've used my NATSN card; I was just trying to remember the different cards that I used while I was OTR.(the places I fuel at around here have their own point system.) Thanx, for pointing that out to me. Answer: Pilots coming out with a frequent fueler/driver rewards type card in the next few weeks. I'm sure they'll give you the option of a shower or free drink, --> "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of all who threaten it" _________________ RC Universe Answer: If Pilot would come out with an actual card instead of having to tear off the corner of your fuel ticket to get the shower ticket. Also as far as I know Pilot either has or is in the process of discontinuing their driver rewards program as they had poor participation from the food vendors inside their facilities, and also the driver usage of that old program wasnt the greatest either. I wonder if it had anything to do with drivers not wanting to carry around a bunch of those stupid little pieces of paper. Only two things I know of are infinite. The universe and human stupidity, and I am not real sure about the universe. _________________ Answer: Pilot is supposed to have come out with their "Driver Payback" program April 1st, but have run into "software problems." If you fuel at a Pilot, you'll notice that the cardreader at the pump asks you for your frequent fueler card - but the cards aren't out yet. I'm at the Pilot in Houston (I-45 @I-610) tonight, and I asked about the card earlier. It's supposed to be out any day, the stores all have the cards, and they're waiting on the "Go" from corporate. It sounds like they finally got their act together! No more little slips of paper to keep track of, and the points can be accumulated and used to buy anything in the store! (Except for the usual beer, cigs, lottery, etc...) Now if Senor D's in Winslow will start accepting the points... "As God as my witness... My sympathies to you! ******************************* "I've always been crazy, but it's kept me from going insane!" I picked mine up the other day in Ohio. I think its going to be similar to the program that the TA's have. They said that you can use the points for any thing in the store. Answer: I HATE THEM! I have so many plastic cards in my holder for just fueling and breakdowns my holder broke off the dash! I just would like a cup of coffee without having to stand in a damn long line to get the stupid cup!!!! That’s all I ask! Then there’s my Holiday Inn card. Super 8 Comfort Inn Best Western Dinners Card Then my two tire cards. Volvo card. Fleet card. Company Master Card. When I turn 50 I get a Old Americans discount card. My 6 different cards for camping clubs. Card for my camper if it breaks down. 2 cards for my Ford pickup if it breaks down. Warranty card for my pickup. Warranty card for my camper. OOIDA card. AAA card. Insurance card. Prescription card. 2 calling cards. My 2 Master Cards. Bank debit card. 2 cards for company fuel pump. Card I use to deliver in Federal Buildings. Gateway credit card. IBM card for my laptop. 2 cards for my local grocery stores. Sam’s Club card. Card I use to fuel up my pickup and van at local co-op. Co-op membership card. A couple I can’t say what they’re for. A book full of ones that have expired or I don’t remember what they’re for. And all the ones I can't remember right now. I’m just carded out!! Dear Mr. Truck Stop. All I ask is a cup of coffee with my fill-up without standing in a damn long line for the stupid cup!!! OK??? Please! Darn I thought of three more…. Oh well, I think people get the point! [This message was edited by Indiana Roadrunner on April 12, 2003 at 12:24.] Answer: WOW what a list of cards. and speaking of that cup of coffee, it would be nice to get a cup of good coffee, not one that has been run thru 2 or 3 times before they change the grounds. Answer: Im with you IR had so many cards at one time, when I sat down, my right butt cheek was a foot higher than my left. I no longer carry or have any fueler cards I just pay for everything just too much of a pain to carry or place them some where in the truck. If I have to rely on free coffee or free showers all the time then I need to find a better job. "A choice between doin' ten years, and takin'out some stupid !@#$,ain't no choice at all." Mr.White (Reservor Dogs) Answer: Pilot is now handing out the cards. Good for anything in store or participating restaurants? (is that what you call those garbage pits they have?) Not good for tobacco, fuel, or alcohol. Free coffee goes bye-bye after April 30. Shower credit good for 5 days. Answer: I didn't carry the cards in my pocket or purse... I had a little Card Holder that I kept the cards in...and kept the holder in the trk. Whenever I needed a particular card I just removed it from the holder & put it back when I finished using it. The holder looked like a small photo holder, but the plastic sheets inside of it were designed for credit cards & drvr's lic. And since it was in a (3-7) ring binder style holder....the holes just happen to fit my organizer. I would take a sheet out & put the cards that I'll be using for that particular trip in a plastic sheet & I would put the plastic sheet in my organizer. [This message was edited by choclit snda on April 13, 2003 at 14:55.] Answer: Choclit brought up a good point. Besides keeping the cards organized, it also keeps the magnetic strips from being degraded to the point that they are not usable. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
