I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!
Question:
DOT just called me with regards to our complaints against hubbys old company. She chewed me out!! for submitting 3 separate complaints on 3 different days. First she said there's no reason there should be that many complaints against one company in a weeks time. When I told her it was true, then she said that I needed to put them all on one complaint and that I needed to read their site and follow directions. I told her that the site wasn't working correctly that 1 time did the site indicate that the complaint had gone through. I am so pissed off (sorry)!!! She didn't even ask for details just complainted about "all these" complaints from hubby. Since when is three (3) the amount of all these! Unreal Answer: I posted a while ago about this, wondering how long it would take and the outcome. As I suspected, I believe you are wasting your time. This is not a slight to you, they just don't give a DAMN, and you are wasting their time! Answer: I don't know about that Mr. Gower; if the complaints are serious enough, I think they have to investigate---ie. unsafe equipment, false logs or other records etc... However; getting so many in such a short time from the same person; the D.O.T. might be thinking "discruntaled employee", and would they be wasting their time. We don't know how these complaints were worded, and the complaintant may have been hostile instead of proffesional, leading the D.O.T. to feel they (complaintant) are just mad at the company and trying to get them in trouble. My advice; talk to a "Supervisor" not the lady that chewed you out---be calm and let them know your complaints are valid by the tone of your voice person to person. They know you can go over there heads. _________________________ Cover Your Cans People!!!It's apparent this place is never going to change....then again; why should it? It gets the clientel it deserves. Bette Midler Answer: I would have reminded that woman that tax dollars make up her pay check & she should be more respectfull of taxpayers. I would talk to her boss or boss's boss. She was way out of line. You're not wasting thier time;it's thier job. It's what the taxpayers pay them to do. Answer: I found out this Lady wasn't even from DOT (per say). But a "bank" of people who answer the complaints then forward them to where ever they need to go. I did talk to a DOT Official in Madison and he told me what I need to do. He was very kind and helpful. He did kind of cross examine me about the complaint and said he did this just to make sure it wasn't from a discruntal employee. He said the Department takes these complaints very seriously and in all the years he's been working there he's never seen a driver who filled get in trouble for going against HOS.
