Welcome to Live Dialogue !!!

Practice. Makes perfect and has no substitute.
Question:
The cause of this post is a recent incident at a truckstop. A young man was trying to back a 53 footer into a parking space.
I was sitting in the aisle waiting on him. Finally, I asked him if he was going to take the space or give up.
His reply?
"Too damn tight! You're such an expert, have at it!"
I parked my 48 footer with 65 foot pipe on it (2 foot overhang on front, 13 foot overhang on back) in that same space without hitting either truck on the sides and with only 3 pull-ups.
Expert? I WISH!
Practice and patience.
If you're having difficulty with backing, Practice, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!
Find a spot where you won't hit anything and try backing in between the lines. Get out and look where your rear end is going.
Somebody gives you **** about it, shut off the radio.
Nobody is born an expert. And, nobody absorbs any knowledge from the "Counter" crowd.
Only practice will teach you the skills you need.
Don't have the time? Sing me another tune. Take a good look at your method of running and I'll give 5 to 1 that you'll find several hours of wasted time every week.

Answer:
Correction: Should have said 15 foot overhang, not 13 foot. Can't add, I guess.

Answer:
Practice doesn't make perfect-it makes for more practice. When one thinks they are perfect, it is time to get off the road, as they will be a danger to themselves and everyone else.
Good post, BTW!
WHY IS MY BEER DARKER THAN YOUR COFFEE??
Answer:
and when it comes to backing, as far as I am concerned every time you do it is practice if you take the right mental approach to it. Look at how you set up, how you move the wheel and the cause and effect of everything you do, and learn from it. Dont over analyze what you are doing however as this will end up causing you more frustration than help.
Only two things I know of are infinite. The universe and human stupidity, and I am not real sure about the universe.
Answer:
I'm perfect. Well, except for the ding I put in a trailer with my door today. God thing only I noticed. NO I DIDN"T TELL THEM.
Actually it was hard to see my ding with all the other dents and dirt. (pssst, I saw it.)
More practice tomorrow.
