He said he couldn't believe what this company had to offer that RIX didn't. 2002 FL, .30/mi, paid ins, full benny package, rider program, TRAINING, no NY, avg.2600 miles/wk, home at least once a week, no forced dispatch, NO driving illegal, no driving in bad weather.
He starts training next Wednesday.
Company wants him get feloney paid off and off record as soon as he can.
The owner asked him why he quit Sheet Metal (22 years). Hubby said that it was a young mans proffession and unstable employment. he then said that he a stack of apps from younger guys with more experience but wanted to hire him 'cause of his age (4.
Our prayers are answered.

Answer:
Learn all he ever will want to know about reefers during training. Just be sure to ask a lot of questions. They are not hard to learn but the subject is too complicated to try to explain here. It is a hand on learning experience to be sure.
Only two things I know of are infinite. The universe and human stupidity, and I am not real sure about the universe.
Answer:
he might consider buying ear plugs for sleeping if he is sensitive to that kind of thing.

Answer:
It's good that he didn't waste any time. That's sometimes hard to do -- get right back in the saddle. The company sounds good. Remember, he was hired because the owner thought he do a better job than the younger guys. So I guess, he's greed to do a better job. Hope most of what he was told is true -- maybe it is, and if so, he's really lucked-out.
Luck is the residue of initiative.
