well i started school on monday . yes me, the troll, the one who was coming out here for attention from the men uh huh. i'm in the four month program so its like we've been learning about logging for two days. i'm going insane. also, wow, i had no idea that you had to log the rest of your life. everyone says they get into this job to have freedom and noone looking over their shoulder. no you just have to log every time you take a ****. it also seems like you really never are on a schedule like you just sleep when you can...and i have a question. they say pull into your appointment eight hours before you are supposed to be there and use that time to sleep. you sleep behind warehouses? isn't that awfully dangerous? can't you just go to a truckstop like maybe half an hour away from your appointment and then get there like an hour before? i think i want to run teams. i think thats the safest. what do you guys think?

I have had to sleep in many different locations from Walmart to Truckstops. Your hours available to drive and location dictate where you can sleep really. Some small towns have no truck stops and the nearest one is maybe to far away to make delivery/pickup. If you go OTR as a Company driver, EXPECT to sleep anywhere from parking lots to off ramps to Warehouse parking areas. I did however get motel rooms at my expense when I wanted a bed and more space from time to time. Some motels have truck parking.
