Question:
Well after much debate I have decided to go with SNI on a dedicated account for Wal-Mart. I have passed the first stage of the process. This involved talking to a very friendly woman when I called to check on my application. She asked me a series of questions about my background and scheduled me a phone interview with a fellow by the name of Carlos Ortiz. Seemed to be a very nice person. He called me right on the scheduled time. He asked me all kinds of questions about my background, jobs i've had, some personel questions and he said that based on my interview he was ready to make me a conditional job offer. He said that he would mail me out a rated applicant packet. Then he said I would have to call a processor tommorrow at 10:30am. Then call him when I got finished with her. So I've got the ball rolling now. He asked when I wanted to start and I told him towards the end of October. It will be scheduled tommorow. I will keep this updated as to how the process is going. I've also gotten accepted with Millis Transfer and waiting on my info from them. I'm kinda leaning on Millis' direction right now. After reading Rafting Bears Journal.

When I went with them forone of them account they ran me around the country for about two months, 2-3 weeks out before they decided to put me where I was supposed to be. They kept telling me there was nothing available at that time, told them I was quitting, then they said maybe they could get me in there, still had a lot of BS for about two weeks till they did.

I've been reading Rafting bears journal and to say the least it is VERY informative about this company. I've also gotten accepted with Millis Transfer. I'm still considering them very much. I figure by the end of next week I should have my mind made up. I'll keep you guys posted.

If you're going to a dedicated Wal-Mart account, Buckeye, be prepared to fingerprint some freight.
Much of what is shipped into the Wal-Mart Distribution Centers are floor loads and the Wal-Mart/Schneider policy on these floor loads is that the driver "assist" in unloading. What that means is that you will load everything onto pallets and the Wal-Mart employee will take the pallet off of the truck.

The recruiter and another person I know said they dont unload it. Wal-Mart does it all

Walmart employees are the ones that pull the pallets off the trucks. The driver rarely even sees the load. You also slip seat with that account. So, you don't take your truck home. Don't load it up for a long haul with a cool and TV VCR deal because, when your out of it someone else will be using it.

It sounds if I'm gonna get my schooling paid for and attend a local 200 hour school. I should have the definate awnser by the end of the week. I have my permit with all endorsements now except for doubles/triples. So I ready to go to school.
