Figure This Out
Question:
Disp. found him a load to get home on. He is by her instructions to have the truck "at terminal first thing Monday morning". But, this load that she found, doesn't get dropped off until Monday at 7 am and then the second half of the load gets dropped off 550 miles later by 9 pm. And the terminal would be 400 miles from that. Now what!! Answer: They may be planning to reschedule the appointment. What did they say when he asked them what to do? He's got to ask and clarify what they want. Somtime they don't tell you the whole story, just what they want you to do next. Either which way, he's got to communicate and get clarification if there's any question as to what he's supposed to do. If dispatch is missing the big picture, they want him to alert them and help them fix the problem. Or....they may have it all figured out and haven't explained it to him yet. Answer: Sometimes dispatchers and load planners cant put two and two together and come up with even 3 1/2. Only two things I know of are infinite. The universe and human stupidity, and I am not real sure about the universe. Answer: Danged it all I always thought 2+2=3. Now are you saying it is 3 and a half. No wonder I always use to get scoldings about my log books. LOL Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
