Does any Werner/newbie drivers achieve this bonus pay projection? From my understanding is if you drive solo at least 10,500 monthly paid miles, then you should receive a $525 monthly bonus. That's like driving an average of 2650 paid miles a week. Is this possible for new drivers @ Werner or is this the reason they extend the mileage bonus that high? I just wanted to hear answers from drivers concerning the bonus pay @ Werner.

Answer:
Dont know wish I could help ya but I do dedicated for them so I dont get enough miles. I do get Achievement Bonus thats a nice one.
You get the achievement and you vacation pay and your paycheck all in the same week.

Driver manager, manages to keep you from making money.
Best week I ever had with the company was when the guy was on vacation.
They enlisted the Teamsters’ help after the company decided that it would no longer pay them hourly wages but compensate them based on mileage, which would have cut their income in half

Answer:
Just to correct JohnnyP, the bonus would be $52.50 per month for 10,500 miles and not $525. You have to multiply 10,500 by .005 instead of .05 to figure out a bonus for 1/2 cent per mile. Best of luck.

Answer:
Good looking out on that bonus correction. I was thinking 1/2 cent as .05, but that bonus did seem high for an average month of OTR driving. However, I'm still considering Werner or Schneider.

Answer:
My husband started driving solo for Werner May 29, 2002. He drives the midwest regional route so the monthly mileage is only 8,500 to qualify for the bonus. He has made his bonus every month except for the first month and then he was short only 200 miles. His bonuses average from $85 - $160 per month so he is getting 1-2 cents bonus per mile per month. My husband was told that if he gets a bonus, so does his fleet manager, so by the end of the month, if he is short, his fleet manager always assigns him a big trip to get the miles to qualify for the bonus. So I guess new drivers do qualify for bonuses.

Answer:
my husband drove flatbed for a local company before going with Werner this month. He left on 02.06.03 and I haven't seen him since. He is at their Dallas Training Facility (whatever).
I need lots of info. on Werner, please.
