Reason for Leaving After 3 months..
Question:
You guys have been so helpful but a little more is needed.
What do I put on job application as reason for leaving?
I don't think listing the real problems is the right answer. HELP!!!

Answer:
Just out of Curiousity....What Is the REAL Reason?
Major lack of communication, given loads that are already late, changing drop off times (so he is late), calling him a lier when he's stuck in snow and so forth.

Answer:
Inconsistant miles, or put being asked to run illegal.
Only two things I know of are infinite. The universe and human stupidity, and I am not real sure about the universe.

Answer:
the reason for leaving is because the company is going out of business.
They will if they continue to treat their drivers like they treated your hubby.

Answer:
LOL First time I've laughed over this in 3 months.

Answer:
Apply to a good company and they will probably know all about the other co. and the reasons.

Answer:
or leave blank -->
They enlisted the Teamsters’ help after the company decided that it would no longer pay them hourly wages but compensate them based on mileage, which would have cut their income in half

Answer:
"being asked to run illegally".
That would be all I would put on the app. In the interview, further details can be provided. Best to also provide some examples of this such as the run from Gary to Baltimore, along with the dispatch pick up and delivery times, along with the DISPATCHER'S EXPECTED time of arrival at Baltimore.
Try to make the COMPANY look bad, instead of your spouse.

Putting down "being asked to run illegal" is a good answer to put on your application. The new company will like this answer. I find this situation funny and a tad bit hypocritical though as I am sure this new company probably fully expects its drivers to cut corners and run illegal sometimes like most companies do. As long as the paperwork's in order who cares, right...

WRONG, IMHO!
If you are not running legal, but your logs say you are, that doesn't excuse you (or the company you drive for) from any liability from any accident you may cause down the road because YOU, the driver, choose to HELP the company "run illegal". That's the only reason companies do it - because the DRIVER lets them!
There's always a trail somewhere that will trip you up in some way if you choose to run that way.
The company may not support you, as all they have to say is "we didn't force our driver to take that load". Instead CTA - cover THEIR butt!
I never EVER allowed a company to "push me around". If I figured I could not LEGALLY do the run, I said no. I had one dispatcher try to give me a load that had me picking up 2 hours down the road WHILE I was on my 8-hour break - so therefore I turned it down with WHY - documented on QC so that there'd be a record as to why, because there was also my log as proof.
But, I digress here...point being, "companies" don't run illegal, the drivers who don't (or WON'T) learn the letter combo of N-O do.

I think you need to go back and read the original post. the topic is what to put down as the reason for leaving the current company and not a discussion on allowing companies to "push" you around.

Answer:
Just put resigned. Don'y get too colorful

Answer:
On the applications that I've filled out, there wasn't much room to put down an explaination for why you left your last company. I would put resigned, and if asked later to explain then tell them.
Just my two cents worth
