Hello Everyone,
I'll be having my WIA orientation comming up on the 27th. Just wondering from all of you who have gone through it just how many "hoops" you had to jump through before you were done. I have been looking into trucking for a couple months now just looking at all my options since I need to get my CDL nd I don't have $4k sitting around to use on a "good" (CDL Mills I have heard are bad)school.

WIA= Workforce Investment Act. This is a program provided mostly by state governments for financial aid.

I'm not sure about your state, but.....
Back in 1990, when I went thru the program here in Oklahoma, the requirements were quite easy...
Made Less than $15,000 the Previous yr
Unemployed for (X) amount of time
Show Proof that "Job-Searches" were done
$150.00 Cash for Lodging
*Only had to meet (1) of the above requirements.
***I'm Not Sure What the requirements are nowadays.
