Martens transports Holiday pay.?
Question:
They claim in there adds and in orietation they pay you 50 extra if your out on a major holiday.well i was out on thanksgiving and New Years. And i did not see 50 extra on my settlement for those days. And they do these Proctor and gamble loads were they want you to unload 2000lb skids with a manual jack, with no compensation. they give you a 1.50 a trip for scales.they do not reimburse scales.no truck washes. And if you have to request hometime 2wks in advance.no exceptions.in my opinion this was one misserable company to work for.And that idiot Randy Marten specs out his trucks with no air dumps for the air bags, and no opti idol. Answer: I've never heard of $1.50 for scales.(or is that a typo & you meant to say $7.50?) What did they say when you ASKED them about the $50.00 Holiday Pay? Most carriers want you to Request your Time Off 2wks in Advance.(this way they can get you set up on a load going that way....& it also gives them time to FIND a load going that way.) Answer: Everything is definetely not Hunky Dory at Marten. Have heard a lot of grouch drivers complaining. Sounds like things are getting real tight at Marten now. One sign of how good a Carrier is, by how much advertising they have to do to get drivers................ Let your dispatcher know who is the real boss! Answer: ...going west this last time out and he told me that the holiday pay is paid only if you are on the road, not home . Carlo 82682 "Pain is weakness leaving the body."
