wife again...read this before you respond to last posting
Question:
First i did not pick "angry face" Next...I am not a whiner...I respect hard work out of anything else....my grandpa was a trucker. I'm tough, I've been through alot and have come out stronger. If these are traits for a trucker's wife, let me know. Oh and I'm ok on the budget although i sure like a bargain!!

Answer:
I agree with KJ. Class A, Class B, either way, look for local work. You'll both be happier. Already had enough strain on the marriage the last few months. Lots of local work here in Denver: Lumber, Dirt, Brick. Spring is around the corner and lots of companies are gearing up in construction, pretty fair money too.
Just my two cents

Answer:
If I were the two of you, I would tell hubby to get a job other than driving where he can make some money. Unless he really lucks into something good, trucking does not pay all that great, unless you have your own authority and own truck, or work for a great company that has plenty of benefits or go union.
If you want him there for your daughter while she is growing up then OTR is not what you all need. If he is young then he can always drive a truck (later in life) after she grows up. Just tell him to keep his driving record clean, no DUI's, tickets etc...
Best of luck to you.

Answer:
Daughters only grow up once.

Answer:
You did it in a nutshell. I've been out driving the last two days and thought of this thread a couple times. I've raised two daughters who are now grown. But when they were little, daddy was the one they came to with the owies and need for cuddling and comfort. Likely cuz dads are push overs...but a man would be foolish IMHO to miss that sort of thing with his kids. Just can't do it from 1800 miles away from a phone booth.
Character: Doin the right thing when nobody's lookin..JC Watts

Answer:
I have only one regret in life: that when my kids were young, I put my work first. I didn't see a choice at the time, but it doesn't matter now what my reasons were.
