This is really cool...
Question:
web page How long do you think it will be until some 'really hi-tech' gadgets (that will improve a dirver's (blind side) visibility) start showing up? I'm curious... has anyone experimented or developed a 'mini' video cameras with a monitor in the cab that could/can aid a driver in seeing his blind side and directly behind? In today's hi-tech world, I find it difficult to believe that this hasn't found its way into the trucking industry... Be safe out there! Answer: Mini cams are already in use on Motorhomes. I'd say it's not used in trucking because of the expense, imagine the cost of having a cam on every trailer in a fleet. The blindside aspect being mirrors are cheaper than cams. The power mirror was a break through for safety on the blindside. Mike Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
