ACT OF GOD OR JUST ONE OF THOSE THINGS
Question:
so i left jdc to drive for werner i spent all of the first 3 days in springfield, oh going threw orientation rode test u know the whole dog and pony show these companies put you threw anyway i get my truck assignment pick up a load in chicago and it's going 2 detriot, mi.i'd say about around the 92mile marker east bound side laid over on it's side is the jdc truck i just turned in the week b4 hauling a load of engines out of kenosha, wi the story i got was a steer tire blowed out and caused the truck to roll now my thoughts are what if i had stayed another week with jdc that could have been me. not sure if driver walked away or not but the truck looked real bad.

Answer:
I wouldn't let it bother me,
Sounds like a Ford SUV story. If it was a tire that caused it, then they had no business being in the truck.
If I thought that blowing a steer tire would put me up-side down in the ditch, I would never crawl into another rig!
Seeing something like that can make you wonder ---- what if --- Maybe If you were drivng, the truck could've been sitting on the side of the road waiting for a tire truck

Answer:
i was 20 mins behind him when it happened...i stopped and took him to the hospital, then later that night took him home to Rockford.

Answer:
sunds like a driver error such as he may not have been used to that truck when it happened he didnt have the feel of the weel yet.i know ive had a fewtrcks that till i got really comfortable as far as the way it drove and handled i drove slower than a winn dixie truck.but once i was hauling a double stacked load of roll roofing 70mph frnt tire blew i sucked up hal of the seat and didnt even sift the load.but i was used to that truck.where another time in a cabover pulling a aircan steer tire blew and it sent me straight in a ditch and i ate up a barbed wire fence for about 110 ft before i came to a stop in a plowed feild.but i was not use too that truck.
  • dammit!!,i hate it when that happens.

    Answer:
Spawn that was an act of kindness taking the driver home. Something that has been lost by
    todays drivers.

    Answer:
i'm a JDC driver, i told dispatch what i saw, and they said to take the driver with me to finish my run to Detroit and the return trip to Belvedere then drop him off in Rockford. that driver got home almost 14 hours later.
