I tell you what, although I am just a newbie at WIllis Shaw the pay and the treatment I get from my dispatcher is awesome. I am literally racking in the money and I figured this out.. If you give respect, you will receive respect. I have a great DR and he makes sure I am home on time (if I want to be). I couldn't have asked for a better DR and Even though I go 63 and 70 on a downhill lol, I can at least wave to you all while your passing me.

I'm just curious about your statement. If you're a Newbie how do you know your treatment is awesome? Having not had experience anywhere else
what is your definition of awesome?
The raking in the money part I would guess is by your standard? I don't personally know any
drivers that are actually raking in enough money
for the sacrifices they're making. Instead of such a broad statement how about some real life information to inform others of what is going on
in your experience.

LOL I have sat at Tyson and Tropicana, I figure if you let it get to you then you shouldn't be driving. I know I haven't been with no other company, but I can't complain. Everyone has their opinion and complaints. I just haven't found my complaints yet. I am sure I will but for now I am content.

I read the WSE book before,I hope this version of it has a better ending,than the last one.By chapter/month 11 it turned into "I can't wait untill this indentured servitude is over"
The first chapter/month sounded just like this version.
They enlisted the Teamsters’ help after the company decided that it would no longer pay them hourly wages but compensate them based on mileage, which would have cut their income in half

Of coarse somebody that has made it through school,gotten a CDL,landed a job,made it though training and got assigned their own truck is going to be flying high.It's quit a list of accomplishments that many others are unable to acheive.
Same as climbing MT.Everest would make somebody mighty proud,turn it into a job and after a few trips up the mountain,one would no longer look forward to it.
Your going to want to move onto other challages in life and you will have this job that takes up all your time.
The 8 to 5 M/F good paying/just driving local job is a very rare beast and many others are hunting for it.
No problem finding the 4am starting time 60 hours a week 40 stops a day,that are mostly inside deliveries by handtruck,thats if you can find a place to park while doing it and not get chased off by the city cops.After dealing with an endless list of nut cases and delivering to places that you wouldn't believe,over the road will look good.
