FRUSTRAIGHTED
Question:
I get so frustraighted with the "PROS" here on Trucknet, especially here in the newbie section.I have tried to tell my story to the other newbies and wannabies, and all i get is flak from the negitive side of the fence. Why is it that poeple who have no life interfear with those of us that do.I had a good training experience so far with Swift, and it may or may not continue, but I get real tired of all the negitive crap. Why can`t people be supportive? and not critical???To those of you who are supportive, "THANK YOU", to those of you who are not "SHUT UP" I understand that all need to know the "facts", but we`ve all heard them now, so be constructive , not critical.....Thanks for nothing.

Answer:
Hey, I for one am thrilled, for you, that you are having a good experience. My husband and I survived 42 days in a truck together with our trainer. 3 in a truck, and we still call him!!!!
I do feel sorry that you are working for Swift because of the substandard pay you will get. However, we worked for Covenant for 8 months making .30 and now make .42 plus $800 in bonuses every month so things can change.
If you are happy don't worry about anyone else, just be glad you are happy!

Answer:
Hi!
Like anything else, you need to keep what
you want and dump the rest.
It is to bad that they have to give smart/***

Answer:
No need to get FRUSTRATED , just watch what you post. They will pick you apart if they know it gets under your skin.
Worst thing to do is post anything to do with X# of miles in X# of days and if you do check your #s before posting.
As for SWIFT and the # of people who are suppose to hate them , big deal you are at least working and getting some training and by the sounds of your original post you know the story put in your 1 YEAR look elsewhere.
Just remember the ones who like to pick things apart did not all start off at the best companies in the trucking industrie with the best equipment and astronomically great wages.
Most started like the rest of us in an old piece of junk and a promise things would get better and for some of us it has and for others it did not.

Never been frustraighted. Was frustrated once.

I hope your still here in a year and saying it was worthwhile and you got some experiance and landed a decent job that pays good and has regular home time.
If a few comments here are getting to you, don't keep your CB on except to talk to shippers and receivers.
What would be the sense of reading trucknet if every poster was positive, yeh I'm doing great,no problem, couldn't be better,no complaints here. You might very well be at Prime or CR England, true?wait your not at one of those companies because you read negitive posts about them, ain't that right and people ripped apart the positive bull crap posted about them.
you would be real confused about your decission to go with Swift if all you read here was positive and than you get on the road and you hear a lot of negitive
So by posting this post you don't want people picking on your posts, but are sure happy you where saved from worse companies by the negitive posters, please stop this,I'm looking at my wooden desk top and want to beat my head against it -->

Answer:
The positive side of truck driving (for me) is the driving (and doing the job-any job-well).
The negative side of truck driving when first starting out (for me) was the 11 weeks of Werner training. I'm an ex-Marine yet I found this training more difficult than boot camp was. Why? I don't sleep in moving vehicles. Simple as that. Operating an 18-wheeler with little or no sleep was very stressful and made life with the trainer difficult.
I tell anyone who thinks of becoming a Professional driver that they should enjoy driving, because that's what the job is primarily about. All the other details are not that difficult to learn. Enjoying what you do is not taught, it comes from knowing yourself and from your own experiences in life.

"ya gotta take the good with the bad" First you got to figure out whats good and whats bad. Sometimes good isn't so good and bad isn't so bad. Sometimes truth doesn't feel so good.

I just get tired of the same few people finding negitive in everyone elses exploits.I`m a big boy now, I`ve been a contractor for 25 years, and I`ve had many ups and downs in life. I`ve listened to Ziggy and Spread and a few others, talk down to everyone on this board, demean peoples dreams and endeavors,(oh yea, and spelling too), and continue to do it to every next newbie. So guys, we all know how ya feel about trucking and the abuse that drivers get, how proud you are to be a failure at otr trucking, etc, etc, you just don`t have to keep telling us, we get your point...BYE for now, off to be abused by the company that is training me, or maybe I`m abusing them, cause as soon as I can i`ll get a job with home time and decent pay. -->

I started out a few yrs back and I also had to go to school and take a major comp. driving job with hardly any pay. Dont worry about it , alot of these guys were probrably grandfathered in, in my opinion I like the way I went. I still consider myself a newbie after a few yrs on the road. Because these guys mouths open and closes does'nt make it a prayer book, I remember these games back in 3rd grade, dont worry about them and happy trucking

Non of us can force you to read what we write,if you don't like what we write, skip over anything written by the list of people that annoy you.
Just because you don't aprove of what I write, don't mean squat,I as an American have freedom of speech, you don't like what I say, don't listen.
News flash, other people do want to know the real story, seeing as how it will affect them and their family so much, they do want to have all the facts before making a major decission.
If you still think it's great once you are no longer part of a trainer team that gets the longer runs, come back and tell everyone that you have a different oppion and you are doing just fine.
I get a kick out of the failure part,I got the load delivered last night once again -->
Bedspread drove for around 25 years and survived,I'v been driving for over 10 years, lets see if you can make it even a few months without failing -->
