TRANS AM???????
Question:
Any information on Trans Am? They want to set me up for their July 10th orientation and I was wondering if there is any information I can find out about them? Answer: Trans Am HERE . They run only east of the Rockies. Equipment is newer, they have generators on them so you don't have to worry about invertors! Good starting pay for a newbie. Reefers Based out of Olathe, Kansas (Kansas City) They were one of 3 companies that I had considered. The reefer, and no west coast was the reason I decided against! Drive on! bandit58.... Answer: Can you say meat? Expect to haul alot of this stuff and expect to have alot of hours wasted while at the plants as well. Answer: Can you say "Caves". Mike Answer: I never thought about reefers. Always considered Flatbed. Are reefers hard o keep up with. Bandit do you know how many miles a driver will average? Rableam, what is meant by caves? Answer: I can answer the "caves" part......mostly around parts of missouri (st. louis, kansas city, etc..) you deliver or pick up where you have to drive in these underground caves to the docks, they are pretty cool actually and its like a whole city under there, they store stuff there because the natural temperature is cooler. most of them have plenty of room to manuever, but some can be tricky. I can agree on the "meat" part....i used to drive for T/A and did spend lots of time at plants, and the food warehouses but you can hire lumpers and sleep while unloading. As for reefers.....its mostly all I've done and not that difficult maintaining the unit and more flexible than "van" freight you can haul more types like cooled, frozen, heated, and dry. "Hakuna Matata".....Greg All for the love of a good woman. Answer: There are a number of large caves and old mines that are used for warehousing. There is at least one in MO. I've been to one in MO. There pretty neat but sometimes a little tight for a 53 footer. There are also hugh old salt mines that are used for sensitive temp storage. Answer: Not sure on the mileage, I have a friend that drives for them, but have lost touch with him. I'll see if I can't get ahold of him and see how he's doing. As of about a month ago he was still there, I heard! Caves, I know the Kansas City area has alot of storage in caves around the city. Heard they are a beech to get in and out of, never been in them myself. Drive on! bandit58.... Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
