Help me remember a site...
Question:
I remember someone posting a link to a site awhile back, that had a general definition of every trucking company there was. The information included was number of trucks they had, number of trailers. Percentage of accidents a year, among many other things. I saw it awhile ago, and I can't find it again. Anyone know or have an idea of what I am talking about? Nobody can make you feel inferior without your permission. www.livejournal.com/users/trucking_life Answer: I'm not sure if this is exactly what your looking for. It does find every trucking company in the U. S. throught the search feature and list the numbers of power units and drivers in their fleet. Carrier safety status, type of commodities hauled but not the number of trailers in their fleet. web page Answer: I'm pretty sure that is it... If anyone has any other ideas of what it possibly could be, post the site. Nobody can make you feel inferior without your permission. www.livejournal.com/users/trucking_life Answer: There's SafeStat and SAFER. The governement has let SafeStat know it is not pleased with their sites lack of keeping up to date on company information. I noticed last week the site was down often, probably updating? The following scrolling message appears on the SafeStat page: The updated SafeStat Results are scheduled to be posted on A&I on October 9, 2002 Here's the link for SAFER: SAFER Or SAFER database inquiries ****************************** Answer: I saw that too, on SafeStat. For some reason neither of the sites look familiar. I remember when people were discussing companies and someone provided a link, that had a description of the company, then it also included accidents for the year, and things like that. I know that doesn't give anyone much to go by, but it's really all I remember about it. It gave an in depth profile of the company basically. So again if anyone has any ideas, help! Thanks for trying though! (I did find the sites pretty helpful and it did keep me busy for awhile, wasn't that my main goal anyways ) Nobody can make you feel inferior without your permission. www.livejournal.com/users/trucking_life Answer: K Answer: Choclate, where are you??? For the road, Starkman Answer: Every time I do a search on the net, I get side tracked in other directions. Example, I type trucking + companies + safety + statistics. I didn't come up with anything on that. But I did get to some links that side tracked me. My favorites list is about 3 miles long, I guess a couple more won't hurt. Someone may find these links handy, meanwhile the search continues. web page web page I got this: web page That came from this:web page [This message was edited by dak1 on September 28, 2002 at 00:56.] [This message was edited by dak1 on September 28, 2002 at 01:01.] Answer: Everyone grab a link and look. web page Answer: web page Look through this. I cannot do all this alone, some of you are going to have to help search through some of these links too. I'll be back! Answer: Try this. The info your looking for may have come from this site from FEDSTATS. If it's not in here somewhere, I give up, UNCLE UNCLE web page Answer: I haven't had time to go through all of those yet, to get a little more detail, or in order to try to make it easier, here is what I remember. It was a site set up similar to SafeStat. On each page for the specific company, it had employee numbers, how many tractors they had, how many trailers they had...also, the revenue for the last year, how many accidents in the last year, last 10 years and things like that, and you could search through it, for whatever carrier you wanted to research on. I have been searching endlessly also. Still no luck. Thanks for trying! Actually, I was thinking it was SafeStat or Safer.(those are the 2 that I use the most.) ...but, I'll keep searching, maybe I can find something that dak1, has NOT yet found. ===================================================================== BTW, dak1, Thanx, for all of the Links....You're doing a G-R-E-A-T job.(and I, for one truly Appreciate it.)
