Talked to Schneider earlier..... They said to call them back in about 3 weeks when it gets a little bit closer to me moving back to Ohio. This is when the whole process will start, interview, etc....
Runninhorn, For me Schneider is the best opportunity. Heard good and bad, but the good far out weighs the bad. Ive been researching schneider and trucking for 2.5 years now, plus my uncle is a driver and used to work for Schneider years ago when I used to go out with him on the road. I am also getting out of the Air Force soon hopefully. Have you ever thought about TMC in Des Moines Iowa? They guarantee 46 out of 52 weekends at home. Pay is considerably better too. 33 cents after the first year.
Just something to think about.
My plan is to use my GI Bill to be a Diesel mechanic and then get my CDL and go from there. Just something to fall back on if I don't enjoy driving.This is USAF 2T2 and I approve this message.
