Schneider Glass Division
Question:
Hello Everyone:
I have been reading this web page for a couple of months and have decided to sign up with Schneider National.
They are putting in the glass division so if anyone has worked this or know any information about where they run in and out of it will be helpful.
I will be training in Green Bay for 11 days then Jumpstart in Des moines for 5 days. Then on the road for 2 s with trainer. Then off to Lauirenburg, NC for Glass training. If anyone has any information about hometime during training it will be helpful.
Thank you for your time and have safe trips,
Duane (POPS) Linder

Answer:
wow, never heard of new drivers hauling glass. Sherman bros require a year or so exp before you can do that. Sounds expensive!
There are no stupid questions, only stupid people

Answer:
hey pops, currently leased to schneider, the glass is a good job, if you listen to bruce in laurinburg and do what he says, you wont break glass. its more securement than driving. sure there are do's and dont's with glass more than box, but i personally feel pretty good hauling freight that most are either scared of or have excessive breakages. its hard work, but its great, and there is more money than van.
dunno about home time etc, the recruiter should b able to tell you that.
take your time, double check everything and enjoy it!
