Question:
they can suspend his licensen just because he behine,a friend of mine was telling me he hear it was in fl.do any one know anything about it.and which states are doing it. just trying to fine out about it so i can tell him more about it. Answer: Have heard that it is possible in some states, but not sure which ones. After an Attorney gets tired of working for a living he becomes a State Senator and passes laws that his Attorney friends he left behind will benefit from.. There are 8 times as many attorneys in the US per capita compared to Japan where people work things out reasonably between themselves. Keep the Government off my back and out of my business. Answer: Yes...If you owe child support (and it is even worse if your wife and kids are on welfare as you must pay that amount back at some point) that the state may pull your license for non-support. As far as I am concerned, they should also throw your sorry butt in jail and through away the key. _____________________________ TO THE BATPOLES! OOIDA Member # OICU81 Answer: In some states (and many nmore are passing similar laws all the time) a person with severely deliquent child support payments may have his drivers liscence suspended and in some cases may even be incarcerated. On the surface of things it seems like a good idea to get the dead beats to pay up but in reality the states often just go after the easy targets. The guys who try to keep up with the payments but fall behind due to a job loss or wage cut or some other unforseen circumstance. I have a name not a number. I am not cheap but I am resonable. Answer: Yep most states will take your license if you miss just one payment. Bedspread is right about welfare, I paid for it when my ex-wife used it. "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of all who threaten it" Answer: next time your home, take 10 mins. and fill out the form to have it taken from your check. clerk of court can hook ya up. add $5 if your behind. lawyers can no longer touch you. period. lilbean Answer: My ex-wife lives in PA. and I live in AL. I called Domestic Relations in PA. and gave them the info on my job. They set it up to come out of my check every week. Plus and extra $5.00 for back support. (I'm only about $600.00 behind.) Then when you file your taxes, they take a large percentage of your return for back support also. Answer: When I was a paramedic, I had friends who lost their paramedic license as well. I fully believe you should be responsible for your childern. However, I do not see how inturppting your abilty to earn a wage, makes any sense! Jail time just places more burden on tax payers and produces nothing for the dependent childern! Taking away apersons abilty thru license suspension does nothing but force someone to work a lower paying job! Take portion of earnings, keep tax returns, whatever, but, keep them workiing!! Answer: Makes a lot of sense, huh? The guy isn't paying money, so pull his licenses so he can't keep his job. Yeah, now that he's not making any money, he's really going to be able to pay! How stupid is that! WHY IS MY BEER DARKER THAN YOUR COFFEE?? Answer: Wow. I know that we all make error in spelling and grammar but that guy's post is positively the most terrible one I have seen.they can suspend his licensen [license] just because he [was] behine [behind],a friend of mine was telling me he hear [heard] it was in fl.do [does] any one [anyone] know anything about it.and which states are doing it. just trying to fine [find] out about it so i can tell him more about it. Talk about poor spelling, grammar, lack of capitalization, poor punctuation and a monster run on sentence. This is the first time I have ever criticized anyone for poor writing skills here at T/N because I err also in those areas sometimes. However, I do not believe anyone that illiterate is capable of completing a daily log correctly, reading a bill of lading or comprehending the most basic and essential provisions of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Yes, it is law in Florida that if you do not pay your child support they will suspend your drivers license. It is supposed to be used as an incentive for deadbeats to pay their support for the children they helped create. As one ambulance chaser...I mean lawyer down here stated " It is very simple to fix. Just pay the child support." One more reason I'll be staying single forever!! Answer: It is the law in Minnesota as well. BTW- I am not a nitpicker when it comes to spelling and grammar. After all, this is the Internet. People type quickly, make errors and then post. In the case of the poor fellow above, I was somewhat amazed at his apparent illiteracy. I did not expect that someone who could run a computer could be functionally illiterate. I really should not be so surprised. I have a client who is a manager in a fibre optics business. He sent me a letter he drafted. It was fully of spelling and grammatical errors. Answer: BTW- I am not a nitpicker when it comes to spelling and grammar. You mean, you don't care that we're loosing are writing an spelling skills faster then we would with out the Internet beeing around? It effects other things, to. I seen to different books that actually said "forward", insted of "foreword" at thee introduction! de KJ5KX Answer: if a man is be hine on child support Oh, it's behind. I just got that. I must admit, it was difficult to decipher and didn't make sense at first glance, so I just skimmed over it. We can't really blame the individuals for much of the apparent illiteracy today; they're teaching them to spell this way in elementary schools! Those who develop the curriculum think they have a better way. Nothing is wrong, it's all gray and, as long as everyone understands what you mean, it doesn't matter. There was nothing wrong with learning phonics. If it works, don't fix it. de KJ5KX [This message was edited by FlimFlamMan on January 06, 2003 at 13:08.] Answer: If you cannot drive how are you going to go to work to support the child?
