question for ya.....
Question:
Can you find out whats on your DAC ? If so how? Also should a company pay you by the hour if you are sick stuck out of state at a terminal and have gone to the Dr. have a note stating that you are not allowed to drive , complete bed rest ordered. If anyone knows any of this please let me know. My husband was sick and laid up in Ohio for 5 days . And we were just wondering if there is a way to get payed. Some guys at terminal said they had to pay him 7 hour because he was stuck there and not at home . He asked his fleet manager but of course the people who should and need to know this kinda stuff, don't know chitt about it. Any way if anyone knows thanks ahead of time. mom of two wife to one jenna Answer: http://www.dacservices.com/contacts.html I don't know about your hubby's carrier, but all of the carriers that I have drvn for did NOT Pay for being Sick while OTR. Just like it's not the Drvr's fault that he/she got sick.... It's Not the carrier's fault that the Drvr happen to be Away from Home at the time of the illness. Unless, that carrier has a Paid Sick Day Policy, I have a feeling that he is NOT Entitled to get paid for being sick.(regardless of the location) If you can Not find the answer to your question in the Employee Handbook... I suggest that you call the carrier's Human Relations Dept or call the Safety Dept to find out for sure. Answer: Thanks for the info I was wondering if anyone was gonna answer. I doubt if they will pay but if not no biggie. Atleast hubby is better and now he can drive safe with out medication flowing through him.Though we did throw out alot of money for that out of state illness $93 Dr visit new patient and $76 for meds. all paid for by comcheks. So know for sure there will be a $-- balance this week. Thank you again for your response. mom of two wife to one jenna Answer: Go Here: http://www.dacservices.com/products/prod_employmentHistory.html They have everything on a driver from a subscribing company--incidents, accidents, employment particulars, everything.
