Had you tried going to the truckstop or the nearest terminal and interviewing the drivers to get their feedback? You could ask them
1. How do you feel about the way this company is treating you as a driver?
2. Do you think you'd still be working for this company 2 years from now?
3. Are they giving you all the miles you want?
4. How much manual loading and unloading do you do?
5. Is the air conditioning working on this truck they assigned you?
6. Looking over your pay settlement statement, are they paying you consistently on all trips and accessory pay?
7. On average, how long is it taking to load/unload at the customers' docks?
8. If you had a tire blowout, and the trailer is heavily loaded, would they call road service to come out to you?
or expect you to drive to the nearest truckstop with a heavily loaded trailer?
9. How often had you picked up a load late in the afternoon or evening, and was expected to drive all night to
make an early morning delivery?
10. When you write up a repair order on the truck or trailer, is the shop pretty good on giving prompt immediate service?
Talk to at least 5 drivers to get their input.
