power inverter
Question:
what size power inverter can i use i think i can hook up two marine batterys under my bunk. thinking of fridge small micro tv and dvd....... thanks

Answer:
You better check with the company you plan on driving for before you start putting batteries under your bunk. Most companies I know wont let you put inverters (let alone batteries under your bunk) that large into a company truck. Most will let you get an inverter, but only of such a wattage that it can be powered off the accessary plug. (lighter).

Answer:
And those accessory plugs (cigiratte lighter outlet) only deliver about 10-amps --- about 300 continous ac watts max.
The appliances you mentined are all available in 12-volt configurations. Entertainment players and such are typically 12-volt models in big trucks. 12-volt regrigerators are also available (although very pricey) but exceed the accessory plug's limited power and require hard wiring to the truck's electrical system.
Again -- check this out with the truck's owner -- the company or whoever. There may be some strict rules on what you can and cannot wire, and for good reason. A truck's electrical system is dangerous to fool around with, and you can easily burn the damn thing to the ground if you just go in and wire it up yourself. Answer:

Ferget the coffee maker. I went that route and only used it once. Itsa pain to clean after each use.(unless you have a sink in your truck)
Turned out the only thing it was good for was to heat water for instant coffee when I didnt stop near a T/S for the night ....Think about it and save yourself some $$$
