Question:
I live in Columbus, Ohio and wanted to know if anyone has heard of a company named ESTES. I see them when I am going to my thursday trash route on Frank RD. I don't get much time off and work 12-16 hours a day so I don't get the time to go and ask myself. Also with that I am a trash man and you can imagine what I look like after throwing 350 stops of trash in 90 degree weather. So my timing sucks what can I say. Anyways if you know what their requirments are or heard anything good about this company I would much appreciate it.

Estes and GI Trucking were together for a while, I believe they have divided up their areas again. Cardinal Freight is involved in there too. Estes has a huge terminal in Charlotte SC, 90% pups but 100% drop and hook. I pulled for them for 3 years out of the GI Terminal in La Mirada CA, loved it, great miles, good dispatch system, majority of the office personnel were really nice and respectful. I can offer more info on the GI side than on the Estes side, since I was dispatched by La Mirada. But every Estes terminal I went too was very professional. The Charlotte terminal is amazing compared to a lot of the terminals.
Anyway, theres my .02 worth.
If you don't LOVE what you do for a living, then why are you doing it? Life is too short to not chase your dreams and eat dessert first!
