Government Grants for driver Training
Question:
Does anybody know from who or where you can get a grant from the gov( fed state or local) to cover the cost of CDL school? I've heard it's poosible, but have not found anything yet. Any help will be appreciated. Answer: Go down to your local unemployment office and ask for info regarding WIA(Workforce Investment Act)or check with the rehab commision in your home state.My training was paid for by the state of Texas. --> --> --> _________________ Arguing with a truck driver is like wrestling with a pig in the mud;Sooner or later you figure out the pig enjoys it. Answer: Try what the govenor says first and if you can't get any info from them, try the local welfare department. By federal mandate, (please don't ask for the link to the ordenance, I suck at doing reaserch like that!,) they have to provide job training. They can give you the info you need to contact the individual agency that can provide this service. It does exist.
