How about Schneider?
Question:
We would like to hear pros and cons about schneider from drivers!
Thanks

Answer:
I ran for them for a while. You don't provide much information, do you have your license or do you need training? Do you want to run Solo, Team, Regional, OTR, Dediacted? I ran dediacted and team with them. Their training is top notch and they are pretty professional. Teams get 4 days off for every 3 wks on the road. Most freight is drop and hook. They usually don't hire scum. The Cafeteria food is good. The trucks are just average Century Classes. The trailers suck. The pay sucks. The part of not taking the truck home sucks too. They are professional, safety oriented, and belive in training. I would recommend them to a new driver to get some experience under their belt for sure. You can get more info on them by going to www.pumpkindriver.com or using the search feature on this site. Best of luck.
Answer:
Well schneider bunch in canada is not so great from what i hear but your bunch may be better as far as taking the truck home a old timer that came out of retirement that now drives for them takes his home on weekends.
Answer:

Well last time I checked company policy since I worked for them was the only way a driver could take a truck home is if he had a pre approved designated parking area within 50 miles of a terminal.
Answer:
I started with Schneider. There are few companies to start with that actually train the uninitiated in how to do things the safe and correct way. Schneider is one of the best. If you have been reading the message boards, you have probably already read that no company is perfect. As a starting place, I recommend Schneider. Very safety oriented. Average equipment that is usually quite well maintained. Huge freight base that can keep you moving.
.
When you go through their training program, you will actually learn valuable information. They can afford to be quite picky about who they accept because of the many applicants who apply. They do not just accept anyone. You could do alot worse than starting with them.

Answer:
maybe he knows someone in the company ive seen the truck it looks older and the funny thing is i thought you had to have some where to plug it in when it gets cold last time i checked there are none in fleids .
Answer:

What are you saying? Why do you contribute? You aren't a driver or even becoming close to becoming a driver. How in the hell can you give advice to newbies when you have spent zero hours behind the wheel. You don't know your oil pressure from your air pressure.
As Burky said:
T-600 sounds like a young feller, that has had hard luck, and is fishing around, trying to learn.
Part of his learning, is posing questions and/or observations, more or less talking out loud, but still trying to learn.
As far as
That seems to be the message, these days, everywhere you look. Individual responsibility is a no-no.
Answer:
everything in his life ( t600 fan ) thats gone bad is the FAULT of his EX EMPLOYERS
Answer:

Yep since every Mega Carrier out there is flawless, top notch, pays well, and treats their drivers with the utmost respect they deserve. It's always the drivers' fault. You can make $30,000 your first year!!! Fatality and turnover rates are just a bunch of silly numbers. It's like a paid vacation. It's a lifestyle. Your the heartbeat of America. Without you America would stop. A job you can be proud of. Recruiters are nice people. Most importantly have fun. Keep telling yourself these things and you will be successful in the trucking industry.
Answer:
It seems unhappiness has hit the Island of Fantasy or was it a Virus.
Tis the Season to be jolly and not bursting the happy bubbles.
Answer:
I found happiness, just not with a megacarrier.
Answer:
Stagnant Virus my post was directed at t600 Fan not you , he has other posts on here / other sites and its a;lways the EMPLOYER thats to fault , he was offered a local dump truck gig but thats BORING
Answer:

Considering that T-600 is only 20 years old, has no CDL, and a blown out knee for which he wants to collect workmen's comp, if he can get a gig driving a dump, then he really should take it.As long as the paperwork's clean, you boys can do whatever you want to out on the road" Mad Max ...1979

Answer:
Actually no he shouldn't. All that clutchin will make the knee worse. If he has a couple brain cells to rub together to create a spark he should go back to school while he can and get a better job in the long run.

Answer:

Well lets start with the PROS:
1) You get to drive an Orange truck
Thats all I can think of, but its important if you like the color Orange
