I passed!
Question:
I passed my CDL test today! Monday I start my orientation with Roehl. Wish me luck. I let you folks know how things progress. <Good grief....yet another newbie on the road> Answer: Confratulations .... Answer: How did you get the job orientation with no future experience? Answer: Rock n Roll stillday !!! Congrads, Good luck and stay safe ! Answer: Thanks! I have no ambition whatsoever to be SUPERTRUCKER. My goal is 1 million safe miles. How does that saying go?...I've seen old pilots and bold pilots, but I've seldom seen OLD bold pilots. Diesel: I applied to Roehl while I was still in school. Of course, being able to attend orientation was contingent on graduating and passing the CDL skills test. Orientation is 3-31/2 days in Marshfield, WI. After that, I'm on the road with a trainer for 10-13 days (Roehl calls it Evolution I). If everything goes well, I go out for 10-13 days with another trainer (Evolution II). After that they assess your skills and if they think you'll be safe out there you move on to Evolution III where you are assigned a truck and work with a fleet manager that specializes in working with newbies. When they feel you got the hang of it, they move you into the regular pool of drivers. As far as the pay goes, Evol I is $60/day, Evol II is $65/day. Evol III is mileage pay.at .30/mile. After three months is .32/mile, 9 mos is .33, and 1yr is .36. Not too shabby for a newbie. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
