Welcome to Live Dialogue !!!

Well, I might as well get it out and over with....
Question:
Well, I made a significant change in my employment at the beginning of this month. I left CFI in early October and took about three and a half weeks off. No, they didn't cause me to leave. My personal circumstances on the homefront prompted the change.
After making the decision to leave CFI... I was looking around to see what might be available in my area, and the usual "tripe" surfaced and I discarded it. Nothing worth throwing rocks at.... And then I was talking to "Cyanide" on the phone and he up and tells me he spoke to his terminal manager and she wanted me to call her... said they could hire me...in spite of where I live. Seems they have picked up some contracts that reach farther south in FL and I'm in good position to handle the stuff and other loads as well.
To make a long story short... I now am working for Superior Carriers pulling a tanker, and working out of the same terminal as "Cyanide"....
So far its been interesting and very different. Pulling an unbaffled tanker definitely has its challenges, and thankfully I remembered some of the "learning curve" I went through the last time I pulled a chemical tanker.
I haven't seen my settlement sheet yet for the first week...cuz I've been gone for about 10 days now... and am headed home in the morning after I unload the tank and drop it at the tank wash.
One of the biggest things I have to remind myself to do is write down everything I have done on the paysheet so I can paid for it. Like Cyanide said...we get paid for everything it seems except PTI's and fueling the truck. I'll probably post more on this thread about the "adventures" of pulling a tank....So I like what I do, you don't, too bad, get over it. Get on with your life, I am.

Answer:
One question... Mike, that invitation to lunch still open if I get to Markham or Kankakee? Can't take Basil with me so we don't have to worry about fancy steakhouses!! So I like what I do, you don't, too bad, get over it. Get on with your life, I am.

Answer:

Yes Sir,no reservations. Markham is only 5 min ride for me.
Good deal on the move and you're paid for sleep'n on da job too.
Answer:
Nice post, Skywalker.

Answer:

Tell Stuart Tank Mike says hi. I can't think of the terminal manager's name as it's been a year or three since I was there. We do reviews at the cargo tank repair facilities.

Answer:

Har, har, har... !! Slacker is right... its been interesting getting used to this "easy" pace and getting paid for all this stuff!! But I have to remember to fill out all the paperwork!!

You mean that 2373 mile week where I made $1506.00 ?? The one where I made the same as 63.46cpm??
Maybe if you're lucky...the next time we're in Savannah.... I'll buy the BBQ We'll have to go back to that place we ate at before!!So I like what I do, you don't, too bad, get over it. Get on with your life, I am.

Answer:

You callin someone else a slacker...oh High Poombah of Slackerdom?!?!
Skywalker, from what the Poombah tells me, you'll do fine.

Answer:

Oh, its just his "guilty karma" eking out... I've been calling him a "SLACKER" ever since he gave up the "whoop, whoop, chickin' haulin' large car" and duffing around half asleep since he got with Superior.... I guess now that I'm here at Superior too, he thinks he can call me one too!! Guess he's right though... Its certainly an altogether different pace and way of doing things!

Thanks! So far I've bumbled my way through a month and a half....and even managed to make some money and spend too much time at home. But I'm ahead of the game $$ wise and overall happy and comfortable as well!So I like what I do, you don't, too bad, get over it. Get on with your life, I am.

Answer:
"Spend too much time at home." Sheesh, can you whine about anything else?! "Pain is weakness leaving the body."

Answer:
should i or should i not that is the ? to tell what name was given to skywalker at the training class in kingsport, this past week.

Answer:
You two finally made it!
Now that you two have finally been to and successfully passed the course, with those God-awful living conditions you were forced to endure, I bestow upon you the rank and privelidge of the title, OFFICIAL SLACKER .
However Soundman, I don't think you have the cajones to expose Skywalker's new and improved name from school, especially since you took the liberty of writing it on his nametag . Of course, I'll give a hint...
If I'm the GPS (Grand Poombah Slacker)...
And Soundman is the PS (Pot-stirring Slacker)...
Then Skywalker must be the GS (??????? Slacker)... "Pain is weakness leaving the body."
"Nobody ever drowned in their own sweat."

Besides, its true, really it is..... "just be sure to tell the truth about what you wrote on my name plate on the desk" So I like what I do, you don't, too bad, get over it. Get on with your life, I am.
