Hi; I'm a 55 yr. old woman, in good heath, clean MVR and clean work record:
I drove for various companies for approx. 6yrs. the OTR varified will show 4 yrs. the rest was on and off local or short OTR's and the company placed the infor. as local.
Anyway, I have been off the road 3 yrs. working in the health care field. I am thinking of going back OTR, but would like infor. on getting a co-driver cause I was tired of running solo and not getting enough rest. I have team experience, found out I need a non-smoker to run with and someone over 40 would help....and with at least one year experience. Are there any companies that will pair you up ? I found lots of them that will tell you to bring your own, all my friends are driving with wives now, or girlfriends, so that is not an option. LOL. I have a clean driving record, and run hard. They aren't one of my favorite companies, but US Express is supposed to have about 25% female drivers, and they like to run teams. I hate rto sound like a downer but since you have been out of the truck for 3 years Some companies may want you to get a refresher course Just to keep their Insurance Companies happy..
