Illinois sends letters to 506 drivers regarding the HM endor
Question:
There are approximately 506 drivers in Illinois who have failed to complete their HM investigation background check process. The drivers filled out the documents to retain their HM endorsement, however, the drivers were never fingerprinted. Drivers have until 08/04/2006 to report to an Illinois Secretary of State's office and drop the HM endorsement. Drivers that fail to drop the endorsement will have their CDL suspended 08/06/2006. Drivers beware, if you fail to follow through on the process of completing the background check there can be dire consequences. Drivers who have never had a HM endorsement would not be in the group as new HM endorsements must have the background check completed before the HM endorsement is issued.
