I've never heard of them. If they haul plants be prepared for some work. Most if not all loads are driver tailgate. Meaning you will have to bring all the plants to the end of the trailer and they will take them from there. Some plant loads also require a deck. Lots of work and exercise. They will load an area of the floor then build a deck above it then more floor and more deck until it's loaded. You get to tailgate the load and take down the deck as you go. Some trailers are built for it so I'm told. Mine is not and sounds like to much work.
Depending on how they pay either by the mile or percentage it could be OK. I wouldn't mind percentage with drop pay. Whatever it is be sure to find out if they pay for stops and unloading. Plants usually have far more time unloading with lots of stops than they do miles. Having 30 or so stops is not unusual. At least not with some brokers I've talked to.

I just looked at their web page and saw the above quote. Night before last I spent a little over 2 hours in Washington DC rush hour traffic try to get on 95 south and out of there. I was definatly looking for the "open road" ahead of me. Hahahaha
By the way do you like snow, lots and lots of snow. If so Wisconsin is sure to provide you with it.

Answer:
sound like a LOT of work to me!

Answer:
I did that for about 4 days running for Temp agency assignment for Stansel [truckin for Jesus] out of Palm Harbor FL. Ran Team hauling cases of cut flowers, floor loaded floor to ceiling.
I forget how many stops, is was awhile back, ran FL to upstate NY, day and night drops. You have to be in good shape, nothing heavy, but a lot of walking and bending. Your back has to be in shape for it. We had keys and alarm codes to all the nurseries so their was no waiting at all. You got in and out as fast as you can unload and bring the flowers into the cooler.
There was no money in it for the driver, at least at Stansel, to make it worth while.
The plant hauls are not too bad, you can only fit so many plants. I did plant hauls out of Plant City FL on daily runs local for a nursery on a straight truck. That was for a temp agency too. They only paid $8.00 hr. on that assignment but it was just to fill in for their company drivers on vacation for a week. At the end of the day I was filthy dirty from head to toe from hand unloading those plants. At least I was home to take a shower. Handling the cut flower cases was a lot cleaner work than those dam plants.
I hear some of those plant runs, you have to wait, sometimes quite a while at places like Wal Mart and Home depot etc. I like to know what Windy hill pays their experienced drivers to haul plants. They don't say on their web site. Only trainee pay at 300 wk.
There is another FL company that hauls flowers Arminelli [spelling incorrect?] I don't if Stansel or Arminelli are still in business.

Answer:
Armellini is still in business

Answer:
Most of those companies don't pay enough. That other team driver for Stansel worked for them for 5 years. He told me he grossed $500.00 a week and he thought that was good money. ?????? Working around the clock for 5 days and 500 gross, didn't sound like good money too me.
The temp agency was paying me more money than he made on that team run.
