Mr Shuffler
Question:
Mr. Shuffler,
I appreceate your reply, but don't understand it.
Could you explane why going with Millis could/would cost more in the long run
Thanks

Answer:
I apologize for a confusing post. What I meant was: If you went to an outside truck school to keep your options open, but then went to work for Mills anyway -- it would end-up costing more than if you'd just done the whole thing with Mills.
Your most affordable way to get through school and training is with Mills -- a company you'd consider, with their own truck school arrangement requiring an employment commitment.
I'm saying it may be worth it to spend more up-front to attend a separate truck school and keep your options open -- the "free agent" analogy. The worst that could happen is you end-up at Mills anyway, with your truck school certificate and CDL already in hand, having spent more to keep your options open by attending a separate school. THAT is a more expensive way to get into Mills than attending their school -- but I think the options thing is pretty important. Chances are you'll make some contacts in truck school that may be more to your liking than Mills, or at least worth considering.
Hope that clears it up. I was trying to lay down too much info.

Answer:
Since Millis is one of the better training companies you would be wasting your money going to some private training school. Millis does not take trainees from very many schools. They have their select school they use. It would be wise to contact Millis and go from there. No need wasting time and money on some pipe dream of being an independant agent. There is no such thing in trucking. No matter where you go you will need to stay for a specific amount of time to get reimbursed for school. If you want to build a good resume you will need to stay atleast a year at your first company. That company might as well be a good one such as Millis where they will train you.

Answer:

I agree completely -- if you are absolutely sure you will stick it out a while no matter what.
The other side, well said.

Answer:
You'll have to change that post shortly. Can't have you agreeing with me (even though I'm right.)

Answer:
one post at a time bro
