CRST Team Drivers
Question:
There is a website that says while training newbies makes .18 per mile and after 4 weeks training cpm goes to .22 averaging 4000-6000 miles weekly. Is that for all miles driven? If so, that is decent money for a new driver running team. If any CRST, former drivers, or drivers who know this is true please respond. Answer: I'd like to know the answer as well. I plan on going (or trying to) with CRST when I finish school end of January, to run team for my first year or so, so I can get some experience and what not. Nobody can make you feel inferior without your permission. Answer: YOU GET PAID SPLIT MILES WHICH MEAN IF YOU AND YOUR PARTNER DROVE 5000 MILES FOR THAT WEEK YOU GET PAID FOR 2500 MILES SO YOU MULTIPLY 2500 X .22=$550.00 FOR THAT WEEK Answer: I don't think that is the answer to his question. Nobody can make you feel inferior without your permission. Answer: It means you'll actually make .11cpm after 4 weeks....6000 miles = $660.00 gross. First year, you'll average around 27-32k with CRST. It's up to you, for me I didn't care for being in the truck for 20-22 hr/day. Answer: Victor Are you saying CRST pays each driver .22 for half of total weekly miles? I thought .22 per mile was paid to both drivers for total weekly miles. Answer: JohnnyP why do you think a big trucking company would pay .44 per mile to a truck that is driven by a couple of newbies? They will split the miles by who drove what, or split the per mile rate. Either way, you would still get the equivalent of .22 per mile for the miles that you drive.
