Why is it?
Question:
Why is it that people come to these message boards with questions like this: Why do people always wait until AFTER they have started the wheels in motion to do their research? Wouldn't the time to find out about a company have been BEFORE you were set to start with them? That is like waiting until after you are enrolled in a college, and ready to head off to school, to find out if the college is any good - it just doesn't make sense. Answer: It is a little late at that point, isn't it? Although I suppose one could still back out in search of greener pastures. Certainly wouldn't be the first time that happened in trucking. Answer: Because they want to. That is why there are message boards like this. Not at all. There's a good chance they just found this place and are looking for some advice before the big step. It's only to late after they've signed the contract. Answer: Yes, Stuffs You are correct about wanting to know more about the trucking and transportation industry. How else can you learn or try to understand without asking those in the know what the business or any career is like if you don't ask the people doing it for a living either just starting out or be in the field for years. There's good, positive and sadly poor, negative things about any job, places or even people in your travels. If I never been to certain companies, places, dealing with paperwork or people; how else can I learn but asking those with the knowledge and experiences. Most people are proud of their lives and careers. Answer: Wrong profession. You must have thought you were on another message board. This one is for trucking.***Patience is the hardest thing to learn.. Answer: I don't know if I'd necessarily agree with this. True that many people are proud of their lives and careers, but many are not - they do what they do because they have to, but if they had their say, they'd be doing something else entirely.
