Answer:
I was w Stevens a yr ago at this time....26cpm after training and they run the crap out of you ...out 6-8 weeks at a time tou now get raised to .28cpm after 90 days solo I believe....
Not the best company but if I had to do it again i would want Stevens as my first co out of school..........Insurance for a single is about 120 per month

Answer:
i been hearing bad things like this about stevens since i came into trucking 10/2000

Answer:
I second that. I actually went to their orientation and gave a bogus reason to go home. That was enough to turn my stomach.

Answer:
I drove for Stevens back in 1988-89 guess they haven't changed much since then....
All they were ever good for was a stepping stone toward somthing better back then.. .
Slow trucks, 1 air ride seat, no jakes, pretty on the outside but bare on the inside tractors....
They did run the heck out of ya..
Answer:
I drove for Stevens in 91-92 and they were terrible then.
I had a trainer who would not allow you to open a window in his truck, said the A/C and Heat were made for his pleasure.
Ordinarily that wouldn't pose a problem but this guy had me physically vomiting due to his chain smoking cigars 24/7 with no ventilation.
After 7 days of being violently ill I got off the truck and onto a Greyhound back to Dallas. I was a driver for Stevens long enough to know that they definitely dont care about the drivers that is for sure.
I drove for them almost 2 years, a wise man would have figured out how rotten the company was after the Trainer experience I guess... hahaha
