Two Choices/Big Day
Question:
This deal is two fold. The first reason for the post is to get some opinions on who I should go with as a carrier. The times i've read things of this nature in the past have been both informative and humourous. I thought I was dead set on going with RTC until I got a pre-hire letter from Trans Am, now I'm not so sure. Any comments? The other reason for this post was to thank all of you who participate in this deal. While I've been going to school I've visited you guys on a regular basis. Not only have I been able to ask questions and get good sound feedback, but I've also been able to throw in my two cents worth on some things and feel a part of something. Thank you all. This is all coming to a head, as I take the schools road test today, and the states test tomorrow. I'm looking forward to staying in touch with this site and all of you. Thanks Again! Answer: My vote between Trans AM and RTC is for TA hands down. The biggest reason is that RTC is a division of Prime and I have no use what so ever for Prime. The other reason is that I do know drivers with TA and they are happy there for the most part. If you do go with TA you will need to be in orientation within 30 days of graduation. If you wait longer than 30 days they will not hire you. BOL on testing out and everything else. I will always be a mutter trucker at heart. Answer: what my esteemed colleague has posted. RTC will "team" you with another newbie for a minimum of 60 days after training. TransAm starts you out at .30 I believe, and I've yet to speak to a driver who is unhappy with them. That's 2 votes for TA. Now I know you are gonna keep us all posted.....otherwise we'll make you drive for swift! Answer: On both of the above post...Anything that is connected to PRIME is BADDDDDDDDD Good Luck with what ever road you choose, just stay away from the DEAD ENDS Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away Answer: You can make that 4 votes for TA. As far as RTC / Prime go.......RUN as far and as fast as you can the other way!!!! ******************************* "I've always been different with one foot over the line. Winding up somewhere, one step ahead or behind. It ain't been so easy, but I guess I shouldn't complain. I've always been crazy, but it's kept me from going insane." (from Waylon Jennings) Answer: dude, I have not drove in a truck not no day in life. But RTC is a company position, not lease so isnt Trans Am a Company like RTC,Yea thats right i thought so. Go where ever ur mind is,though a Primerboy like me would suggest RTC"! Happy Trails Dude primerboy~ Carl Lamar Snow Answer: Originally posted by jovil: This deal is two fold. Trans Am, is a much better company, they seem like they are about their drivers more than most other companys and the only ones to have an onboard generator on every truck If you want to go and get screwed by prime as a company driver, well then don't come back crying Hey, if life throws you a curve ball, try and take a swing at it. Who knows what might happen Answer: So far it looks like the only person who is recommending RTC is an illiterate. That should tell you something right there. TA, bubba. We will soon see where you'll end up. ____________________________ Originally posted by BEDSPREAD: ...yeah...Let me think for a moment... Even being a newbie you still have to watch your back. May people would like to stick with a company for more than a year and want to have a "close" to as a perfect company they can get. Me im set on FFE right now, because out of school they will fit my needs better than the rest. Primerboy, don't know about the rest of the newbies on here like me and you but, I have made out a list of carriers that hire 21 year olds. Then, Judged and rated them acorrding to what I needed from them. I think Jovil is like me. A person that wants to stay with a company for a while (more than a year) and with Prime no one can do that. Sorry to say By the way, has anyone ever talked to a driver that has been there more than 5 years??? I think not Hey, if life throws you a curve ball, try and take a swing at it.
