Seen One Of The Youngest Drivers Ever Today
Question:
Ok im at the restaurant today working, getting things together and in comes this nice azz schneider truck. I mean 2001 Freightliner Century Condos deals. Then it stops out side incomes this real young short guy. I asked him "did you have a problem parking with the truck sitting in the parking lot"? He said, " The Pick-Up, Ya "? I was like "No, the orange rig out there on the side of the building?" Hes like "Oh thats my ride, I got it about a month ago." I'm like . I asked him if he was new with schneider and he said he was sorta new about a year with them and they trained him from the start. Then, I asked him how old he was, he said 21 going to be 22. I was like OMG . He also had an accident a year before going with them!!! He said he liked it being on the road and said that its isnt tough going into trucking. So, what gives a person like this a chance of getting hired and getting a nice azz truck, my question is how????? Hey, if life throws you a curve ball, try and take a swing at it. Who knows what might happen Answer: It might have been Schnieder. I will always be a mutter trucker at heart. Answer: So, what gives a person like this a chance of getting hired and getting a nice azz truck, my question is how????? ALL the others that leave everyday when they find out"Trucking"today isn't what YOU think it is. Mike Answer: I've met quite a few young drivers over the years, many were very mature and had good head on their shoulders. As with many professions, starting out can be financially bleak. (Ask a Physics Major, even one with a Masters Degree). Many younger drivers have done rather well for themselves in trucking. Saving their money, thowing everything in the bank. There are those that paid cash for their home. The successful one's you don't hear gripping on the CB network or the Internet. It's the one's that are constantly struggling with trucking day in and day out that are doing all the moaning and groaning. Success in this business is an achievable goal, you will not become wealthy, but manage your finances, work steady as well as smart and you'll reap the rewards of success. Answer: I was 19 when I got my Class One. (Professional Drivers License). That is the youngest you can be in BC and Ontario. On the prairies, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, you can get you Class One at the age of 18. The only thing is that for a person that young to drive in the USA, they need another Professional Driver with them that is over the age of 21. And that person needs to be in the jumpseat. Awake even. And they need to log it too. BUMP! Randy Travis - What was that? Patrick Swayze - A Mazda. From the movie Black Dog Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
