Answer:
Be careful. Working derailments is dangerous business.
We had 3 derailments in the past year here. Hulcher was here within 6 hours of all and stayed for at least 4-6 days.

Answer:
So, what i'm trying to get at is, when you are "waiting for a derailment to happen," what exactly are you doing? Are you on duty? Do you get paid to wait?

Answer:

When you are not on a call you are in the shop inspecting the semis and tractors, doing oil samples and oil changes, you could be in safety meetings, training on equiptment as needed, body work if needed, etc. This is all paid time in the shop

Answer:
Well guys and gals you keep it safe out there, i'll be heading out of the house tomorrow at 2 pm to drive to whitefish montana for 2-3 weeks. Wish you all the best

Answer:
Arrrg, environmental clean-up companies. Arrrrg.
Do me a favor, remind your supervisors that while some materials may not meet the definition of a Hazardous Waste by EPA standards in Title 40 the material may still meet the definition of a Hazardous Material in Title 49.
EPA says a Hazardous Waste with a flash point of 141 degrees Farenheit or more is no longer a combustible material. The US DOT says certain Class 3 flammable materials with a flash point above 100 degrees Farenheit can be reclassified to a combustible material. However, the US DOT also says a material with a flash point below 200 degrees Farenheit is a combustible material.
Combustible material in non-bulk packaging is not regulated. Combustible material is regulated in bulk packaging (119 gallons or more.) Combustible material can be transported in non-specification DOT packages. Class 3 flammables must be transported in US DOT specification packages.
