Question:
My wife and I are in our 40's and have decided to drive as a team for someone. We have no kids and really no ties to anywhere except owning our home. So we want to drive cross country. Our problem is we have no cdl or experience and have been researching training companys. We want to be able to train TOGETHER, that means school and ride with a trainer together. My wife doesnt want to have to drive for weeks alone with another guy (trainer).
Does anyone know of a company that would train us together?
Any advise would be appreciated.

US Express (covenent), CRST, P.A.M.,Prime Or Schnieder.
I would go with Schneider or US Express if you could. I am not sure if US still has their own school or if they are using a contractor. They have the best miles and equipment for teams.
Most of their teams do LTL truck load work that keeps them moving on regular runs and off 1 day a week.
Con-Way Truck load is also looking for husband wife teams. They will pay for the training for the right folks. I would really look into them. It is a new company of CNF. Their customer is steady and obligated to them. They are their own customer. They haul their own freight!
PS, They are offering assistance to good people for training at their own facilities. For local, line haul and Con Way truck load. It is on a case by case basis. They are REALLY wanting teams for truck load.
