Anything on Werner? Good or Bad
Question:
Just checking out some trucking companies, live in West Memphis close to a couple of DC Schneider, Werner, P.A.M. and US trucks, I already know how truckers feel about the training from Schneider but anyone know anything of Werner and if they pay any for training or is it out of your pocket? thanks
Answer:
Why don't you call 'em and ask them. (800) 362-3077 or (877) 613-0207. You can also do an archives search for Werner info here, at layover.com, ooida.com, newbiedriver.com, classadriver.com, and don't forget safersys.org. BOL

Answer:
I went with Werner for a couple of reasons I wont get into. They are basically a training company. I was lucky and had a good trainer. I get plenty of miles, have good equipment and a good dispatcher...fired my last one lol. But they are not a company to stay with IMO. Why work so cheap?

Answer:
Training companies typical do not pay trainees very well.
You'll need to bring cash or and ATM card with you.
Look through the training companies web sites, some pay more than others on their training. Yes, you may have to travel.
Plan your choice wisely, these companies hold you to a commitment for at least one year. I hear, some require a commitment for more than one year now.

Answer:
Schneider has about the best training program I have seen.202 N Main Street
