medical card
Question:
Do you have to have a valid medical card if you drive local and not out of state at all.I only drive local and just want to be legal if I am ever checked for the medical card or dot physical or whatever its called.Thanks. Answer: If you have a CDL you have to have a medical card. Here in Arizona you have to get re-certified every 2 years. If you fail to do so your license get suspended! Answer: In every instance I can think of, a CDL is worthless without a valid medical card. Answer: If you get checked by the DOT the first two things they ask for is your DL and medical card. Usually you can't get a job driving a CMV with out it. Answer: Thanks for the info guys. Answer: I can tell you for certain that NY doesn't require a medical examiner's certificate if you just drive in-state. That only applies to federal driving, which requires you to cross a state boundary. Your home state may have an internal requirement, though.
