Welcome to Live Dialogue !!!

We're All Pro's!!
Question:
Whoever we drive for, we all have one objective: Pickup the load on time, deliver on time, and do it all safe and legal!!! No matter what, we all have to make a living in which WE ALL chose to be Pro Truck Drivers. Some of us make more than others, but sometimes it's not always about the $$$'S!!!
I myself enjoy driving and the challenges it has to offer. I chose to drive for Swift agin, because they always treated me really well and I know what to expect from them and I know what they expect from me. Granted the training may not be as good as some other outfits, but my Mentor did teach me a lot, and they are getting better and trying to weed out the bad Mentors. The rest comes from experience, which I am still learning and I hope I never quit learning!!! As with any company, "you just have to suck it up, nancey", and do your job and not be a "Whinny Baby"!! And yes, I have good days, and bad days, but the good one's out weigh the bad ones!!! We all need to have Open Minds about the different Companys, we need to project a Positive Attitude for the new people coming into the Industry, because we do need them. For the most part, Truck Drivers are a bunch of excellent people w/more knowledge between them than any other Industry. They are not dumb people. I nothing but the upmost respect for them and glad to be a part of them. Of course you have a couple of bad apples in the group, but so does all Industries. If it wasn't for us, everything would come to a halt, we keep it going, and I'm proud to be a part of it. nuff said,
Safe driving to all, and heading back out Wed. night. Hope to see ya all!

Answer:
Nice 'pep talk' from one of the Delusional engaged in a low wage unskilled labor JOB at one of the 'poorest' carriers in the industry.
Out of curiousity why did you leave the first time?
Answer:
I left the first time because the sale of my Business didn't materialize (fell through) This time all went well. Kind of business?? Landscaping, couldn't find good help that would work. Landscaping, as you know is pretty physical, and Swift is pretty close to my home, agreed, not the best but not the worst.
Safe Driving,
Terry

Answer:

Why is it that everytime someone has something good to say about a carrier gets laughed at or dissed, but if they complain about a carrier everyone jumps on the bandwagon, and we wonder why trucking has a bad name, nothing but a bunch of backstabbers

Answer:

and there is nothing wrong with that, you are happy while others are not.

Answer:

Why is it you continue to make comments about topics you know nothing about? You lack the intelligence concerning what a "back stabber" is.
Trucking has a "bad" name due to the FACT it IS a poor choice concerning
a vocation.
Answer one simple question if you actually have the mental capacity.
Why do you think there's a constant recruitment drive by Carriers if it
is a 'good' job?
Answer:

I know what to expect from a proctologist too....... LIARS SUKK

Answer:
You forgot about "Futuretrucker". Not everyone is a Pro........

Answer:
I feel a group hug coming on
Answer:
As every carrier is different so are people. It can be compared to an engine.Every engine is different but serves a purpose.Even though each engine is different, all the parts come together to make a single operating engine. We should be happy with what we do.Doesn't matter if we work for a large carrier or an individual. We all chose to drive and we should be happy with that.I am glad to be a trucker.

Answer:
Deep Man...

Answer:

The reason for the shortage is that alot of older drivers are leaving the industry, another reason is that alot of people think it is a easy job and it is not easy so they leave,

Answer:
Man........I just don't get it.
TO EACH HIS OWN. Period.
The company I've been with for NINETEEN years now has a terrible turn over too(though it's not the truckdriving position). Good help is hard to find, just like futuretrucker mentioned. I grin and bear it at times, but it's a paycheck and those are hard to come by sometimes(that pay worthwhile).
I'm glad for you futuretrucker, I'm glad you're happy and making a living. I wish you well in your new job.

Answer:
thank you mack
