i just want to say to all the newbies like myself when you are looking into trucking companies don"t just look at the trucks and don"t go by everything you
see on truck.net i asked for some info on the company i am with know (kllm)
and the feedback was all negative i went to find out for myself and i am very happy there they have alot of miles if you want to run them the told me on this web site i would go hungry well guess what i am not hungry just tired they told
me my check"s would be late well guess what not only are they on time but my money is on my card a day before payday how many of you can say that i don"t get in all the politics of the company my job is to drive yes there are alot of rumers about kllm and it is not my job to get involved with them so like i said when looking go see for yourself i am glad i did most of the time when people give you negitive feedback about a company ther is always a another side to the story they don"t tell you and that is there part they dont tell you about (being late , spent to much time in truck stop, lot lizzard would get out of my truck, video games, or they are just plan lazy ) like i said go see for your self and don"t listen to the negativity and to all of you that are negitive (DON"T HATE THE PLAYER"S HATE THE GAME.) peace

You've been around a little while. Prepare yourself for slow times, because you may be very regretful, otherwise. We've had no serious down turns in the economy, in quite a long time. There was a soft patch, back in '01, but the stimulus was prompt and strong. The soft patch was short lived.
Yet, I saw a JB Hunt driver, with 4 or 5 years seniority, living on spam, because he was not getting the miles. I saw drivers with other companies, doing the same. Some even borrowing money from the company, to buy food.
If you live from one paycheck to the next, expect to become a statistic. Probably sooner than you think. And, yes, I'm worried, because I can see some serious stress on the economy, that is not apparrent, yet. I'm none too smart, but I read those that are. When it becomes apparrent, there will be a surplus of drivers.
I don't know the timing or even the probability, but I do know that there is an economic cycle. Fail to respect that idea at your own risk.Government Ain't YO' Friend. Nor your Servant.
