CR England newbie driver diary
Question:
http://warman.hwyblogs.com/

Answer:
That is the funniest thing I have read in a long time! Not only does the trainer do most of the driving, but he also spends a good deal of it at home!
WOW, that CR England training is GREAT!

Answer:
And hometime is a bad thing right, he is only on his 2nd week with the trainer, can you be any more of a jack (edited)

Answer:

Sure it is - the trainer made it home twice. The trainee, none.
And I didn't even mention the fact that a TRAINEE was taking pictures while driving a big rig.

Answer:
We passed thru a light snow storm in Vail, Co. and lost our brakes on the way down (I wasn’t driving). Due to the wet and slippery conditions, we could not use the engine brake.
I do not even drive a big truck, but rode with my spouse long enough to know what caused that!
sounds like the trainer needs a little training...

Answer:

LOL! I was thinking the same thing.

Answer:

At CRE you can be a trainer with as little as 6 months experience (maybe even LESS now!)

Answer:
i can agree with that hoss, i would ask for a diffrent trainer, one with at least 2 years

Answer:
That is amazing!!!!!!
Does anybody know if this CR England is hiring?
Maybe this guy could who is writing the blog could be my trainer. He could teach me to take pictures while I drive. If anybody knows a phone number let me have it I wanna drive for CR England

Answer:
like you all have not done something like that before, like look down in a car hoping to see some hot girl when you should be watching the road, what a joke

Answer:
When you get there look for the posted picture of a burnt up trk, unless they have taken it down by now. Driver overheated brakes and has a tire fire. Keeps driving until he has a whole state of troopers behind him. Still will not pull over. Pulls into the trk stop trk and trl just a blaze'n away, there he stops. When asked why he wouldnt pull over. " I was try'n to get somewhere where they had water".
Trk and trl burnt to the ground.

Answer:

That isn't even close to holding a camera, aiming it, and snapping a photograph, all while driving down the road AS A NEW TRAINEE DRIVER!
Do you honestly think that 2 years is all it takes to learn how to really be a professional driver?

Answer:
I have to admit that this is one lame site, most of you here is bad mouth the big carriers and say well i heard this and that so it must be true, and another thing all the things that i have heard about this site seems to be true, if the big carriers were so bad as you say then they wouldnt be as big as they are now, so best of luck to you all and stay safe

Answer:
I hate to jump in this post since I haven't read all of the CRE Blog. I have read enough to know it sounds like a big mistake. I do have to ask. Exactly what are the big secrets to becoming a professional truck driver? Two years is enough to known what the job is about and how to do it professionally. As far as I know there really isn't that much to learn. Unless there is some big mystery I've overlooked.
The most notable thing I saw in the Bog was all the wasted time due to poor directions and inexperience. Those are the things newbies need to take into account when their looking at income. Wasted time can cost you alot of time and money and is one of the reasons not to believe the bs about how much you'll make. Especially the first year or so.

Answer:

Hmmmm... it appears we have another poster that failed to hear what he wanted too. I believe it is you that will need all the luck if you continue to deny the basic truths of the voaction and CRE in particular.
When you find the realities of 'trucking' slapping your face
don't cry about not being forewarned.
