Wi-Fi on the road
Question:
How common is it to find wi-fi points while on the road? If I were to get a wi-fi capable handheld device, would that be sufficient to keep up with e-mail, etc. on a somewhat regular basis?

Answer:
of our world famous and beloved Taxibob it's a cool thing to have.
He got the Flyin J set up for his laptop and loves it. I'll probably see him this week so I'll point him to this thread.
Now if we could just get him to stop looking at those naughty sites

Answer:
I am using the Flying J WiFi right now. I have been using it for two months now. By the end of Sept. they should have all there locations set up including the three Canadian sites.
The best part of WiFi is that a) No risk of dropping the computer while tranporting it inside to plug into a hardline. b) No one sees the laptop I use, because it never leaves the truck. The worst fear I have is that my Laptop is expensive and people seeing what I have and following me out to the truck and waiting for me to leave it in the truck and go back inside. Then they can break into my truck and steal it.
Shutters at the the thought.
