CRST Trainers
Question:
Hello Everyone !! If all goes well, I will start my 3 weeks training for CRST on Monday. Then I will be out on the road for a while with a "Trainer". After that, I will Team up with a friend of mine. I've ridden with him a few times and it seems pretty exciting. (Beats the heck out of the Corporate Drag World) My Question is....Can anyone tell me anything about what it's like to ride with the Trainer? That seems to be my main point of concern. (I'm not even afraid of backing.......yet) Does anyone have any experience with a CRST Trainer...male or female? I've heard some horror stories of other trainers and I'm a bit shaky about this part of training. Thanks to all and I have very much enjoyed this site. Shotze Answer: Depends on the individual... unless CRST has some cockeyed directives or something. Otherwise, it's just the trainer's personality vs. yours, and whether or not you two can get along. It's a roll of the dice. Answer: Trainers at Crst are all different. Some good, some bad. Hopefully you get one who has a good personality, and is not a pig. I had experience with both types. Some do it for the extra money only, and some not. I had one trainer who hated Crst, and he rubbed off on me. You will hear allot of that as you get around. Answer: I had one trainer at crst and all he would do is take the best runs and if their wasn't any good runs we would sit in truck stops then he would tell me to get lost so he could get laid. so this didn't last very long with me i ask for a new trainer so i could drive and make money. so watch out for some of them if you don't like your trainer ask for a new one. Answer: I had good luck with my trainer...he was my age, so we had some things in common and the time flew by...my co driver had a a$$hole for a trainer and hated it. crst is a good place to get some experiance IMO but be ready, I did not know they were 64 mph trucks till i was on the road.Live in St. Louis?
