CFI hiring driving school grads again
Question:
Just read that in the latest company newletter. They used to hire students, then stopped for a while and apparently have started hiring students again. Doesn't look like the website has been updated with that information yet. Dont quote me on this because I threw away the newsletter but some of the requirements are must graduate 160 hr minimum driving school, must be 21 yrs of age, DUI must be older than 5 yrs, no drug convictions ever. Pay starts at .26 per mile for the first 30,000 miles, .28 up to 60,000, .30 up to 90,000 and .32 up to 1st yr. Should be making .35 per mi by 16-18 months. It didnt say how training pay works. Must go out with trainer for a minimum of 10,000 miles (should take about 4 weeks or less) before roadtesting. Trucks are to be solo dispatched while training, i.e. the trainer should be able to stay awake and TRAIN you. I'm not a recruiter but thought some of you might be interested. A better alternative than most of the choices available for a training company. Answer: Didn't CFI have the Husband/Wife training program??? It seems to me, it was CFI that had the signs on the back of their trailers, train your Wife in as little as two weeks. Or am I getting this confused with Crete Carrier. It was a number of years ago!! Answer: Yeah, they used to have the train your spouse in an automatic deal. I think they stopped that a couple? yrs ago, around same time they stopped hiring newbies. They will allow the spouse to be your trainer now. Student has to attend min 160 hr driving school and then be on truck as student for up to 6 wks before road testing out. No more auto shifts unless you were grandfathered in under the old program. Answer: dak1, Crete does not have a spouse training program. They also hire a very limited amount of students. CFI did have a spouse trianing program, but got rid of it when they did away with the autoshift trans. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
